The Coffee Barrel is a unique coffee house in Beeville, that has now been open here nearly two years and is located near the heart of the city. Its mission is to raise money for victims of sex trafficking. New Life Ministries, out of Corpus Christi runs the program.
Tracey Canales is making a frappuccino blended coffee drink for a thirsty customer.
“We’re the non-profit version of Starbucks. We just recently switched our coffee company beans out of Corpus Christi and we make smoothies, cappuccinos, iced drinks, fraps, hot drinks pretty much what you can get at Starbucks you can get here but it goes to a good cause.
I support our cause, I feel a lot of people hear sex trafficking and they don’t think it happens locally. It’s not just women, it’s little boys little girls it’s not just women it’s like even younger kids,” says Canales.
