From oil and gas to long blacks and espressos — Joel Lutz made a dramatic career switch last year when he decided to quit his career as a supply chain manager in resources and follow his passion for specialty coffees. Now he’s hoping to find people who share his appreciation for cold brew coffee, sold in bottles and aimed at battling the summer heat as a refreshing drink.

“I wanted to create something of my own, so last year I took time to go to the US where I saw the rise and rise of the cold brew coffee market,” Mr Lutz said.

“It’s a vibrant new coffee category that’s taken off there and it’s becoming increasingly popular in Australia as the weather warms up.”
